Billing and Coding: Spiracur SNaP^® Wound Care System

Palmetto GBA reimburses Spiracur SNaP negative pressure wound therapy for specified open wounds including Stage III/IV pressure ulcers, neuropathic (diabetic) ulcers, chronic ulcers present ≥30 days, venous/arterial insufficiency ulcers, surgical wound complications, and traumatic wounds, provided accepted conservative wound care standards have been attempted. Billing should use CPT 97607 (≤50 cm²) or 97608 (>50 cm²) billed per session; additional E/M services require a separately identifiable service with modifier 25 and appropriate documentation, and device/product name must be entered on claim forms as specified.
