Billing and Coding: Billing Medicare for the SphenoCath^® and Other Similar Devices

Use CPT 64999 to bill for the Dolor Technologies SphenoCath® and similar delivery devices per CPT Assistant guidance. If the physician performing the procedure provides only lower-intensity anesthesia (local or topical), a separate moderate sedation code should not be reported and the A/B MAC will not allow separate payment.
