Billing and Coding: Scanning Computerized Ophthalmic Diagnostic Imaging (SCODI)

SCODI services are covered when they meet the medical necessity criteria specified in LCD L34380 and are documented in the medical record. Claims must include a valid ICD-10-CM diagnosis code and, when required, the referring/ordering physician's name and NPI; procedure codes may be subject to NCCI or OPPS edits which can affect payment.
