Billing and Coding: Scanning Computerized Ophthalmic Diagnostic Imaging (SCODI)

Medicare Part B covers SCODI (CPT 92133, 92134) when used to evaluate retinal disorders, glaucoma, and anterior segment disorders as specified in LCD L34760. Billing must be submitted to the Part B MAC with same‑day services billed on the same claim, appropriate use of modifiers TC and 26, and services billed only in the designated places of service for the global, technical, and professional components.
