This billing/coding guideline requires MGMT Promoter Methylation Analysis to be reported with CPT 81287 and the appropriate DEX Z-Code identifier. Claims must use Bill Type 022x for Skilled Nursing Inpatient (Medicare Part B), include 1 unit of service, and place the DEX Z-Code in the specified electronic or paper claim fields; an appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis code must also be included.
