CT cerebral perfusion (CTP) with automated post-processing algorithmic analysis is covered only to evaluate patients with acute ischemic stroke due to a unilateral large vessel occlusion when used to aid selection for endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (EVT). Coverage is limited to that specific purpose and requires documentation of stroke diagnosis, imaging-confirmed unilateral LVO, and use of automated post-processing software; other uses are not covered under this policy.
