Billing and Coding: MolDX: Genetic Testing in Heritable Thoracic Aortic Disease

This billing/coding guidance complements MolDX LCD DL39989 for genetic testing in heritable thoracic aortic disease and requires submission of CPT 81410, 81411, or 81479 with the appropriate DEX Z-Code. Only one test (1 unit of service) may be billed per patient, and the DEX Z-Code must be entered adjacent to the CPT code in specified Part A and Part B claim fields while reporting the appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis code.
