Policy Summary
Aetna covers prenatal care provided by qualified family physicians (antepartum care only) and allows members to remain with their family physician for prenatal care or delivery. Key requirements: the practice must identify itself to Aetna and agree to Aetna policies, bill antepartum visits with CPT 59425/59426, coordinate all genetic testing through the Beginning Right Maternity Program, and the member must choose a participating obstetrician as co‑manager.
