Computerized Corneal Topography

Covered for evaluation/diagnosis/monitoring of central corneal ulcer, corneal dystrophies (including bullous keratopathy) and complications of transplanted cornea, keratoconus, Terrien’s marginal degeneration, and difficult contact lens fitting. It is considered experimental/investigational (not covered) for pre‑operative cataract assessment, Acanthamoeba keratitis, accommodative disorders, band keratopathy, diplopia, and other uses where topography has not been shown to change management or improve outcomes.
