Aetna covers anthrax vaccination only for ACIP‑recommended pre‑exposure indications (e.g., lab personnel and decontamination workers, military deployed to high‑risk areas, persons handling potentially infected animal products in high‑incidence regions, and workers with imported hides/furs where standards are inadequate) and considers all other uses experimental/investigational.
