Applied Behavior Analysis

Covers applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the lifespan to increase adaptive skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors, including administration of evidence‑based ASD screening and diagnostic assessments. Coverage requires a confirmed DSM ASD diagnosis and appropriately credentialed providers (e.g., BCBA), is delivered as Focused (10–25 hrs/week) or Comprehensive (30–40 hrs/week) ABA with specified supervision ratios, and excludes 24‑hour medical/hospital‑level care, services without documented progress or required treatment plan revisions, and services duplicative of IDEA‑covered school supports.
