This policy addresses robotic feeding assistive devices and wheelchair-mounted robotic arms (e.g., the JACO Assistive Robot). Anthem deems these devices investigational and not medically necessary, so they are not covered for any indication. There are no covered exceptions; related claims (e.g., E1399, L33312) will be denied.
