Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA)

Dysport is covered for cervical dystonia, upper and lower limb spasticity in patients ≥2 years, and the off‑label compendial uses blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, anal fissure, and chronic sialorrhea; uses not listed are excluded. Approvals are for 12 months and require documentation of the listed diagnosis and compliance with indication‑specific dosing limits and minimum re‑treatment intervals (e.g., cervical dystonia 500 U initial up to 1,000 U with ≥12‑week retreatment; adult limb spasticity up to 1,500 U total per session; pediatric weight‑based caps and longer minimum intervals for some injections; and specified max doses/intervals for each off‑label use).
