Community Brief Crisis Support (CBCS) covers time-limited, face-to-face crisis response services to de-escalate psychiatric crises, provide safety planning, short-term intervention, and linkage to ongoing behavioral health supports to maintain members in the community. It applies to Humana Healthy Horizons™ in Louisiana members experiencing a psychiatric crisis (typically referred from Mobile Crisis Response, Behavioral Health Crisis Care, or crisis stabilization), is available 24/7 for up to 15 days, and requires prior authorization, medical necessity, appropriate referral and documentation of crisis resolution per Louisiana Medicaid provider requirements.
