Individual Placement and Support - MEDICAID - LOUISIANA

This policy covers Individual Placement and Support (IPS) supportive employment services to help members with chronic serious mental health conditions obtain and sustain competitive, community-based jobs in the open labor market with pay comparable to others. Coverage is limited to Humana Healthy Horizons® Louisiana enrollees age 21 and over, requires prior authorization and a recommendation from an LMHP or physician, member willingness to engage in IPS, and—where applicable—transitioning from or diverted from a nursing facility via the My Choice Louisiana Program; sheltered, prevocational, or subminimum-wage placements and services for those without a serious mental illness are excluded.
