Artificial Intelligence Enabled CT Based Quantitative Coronary Topography (AI-QCT)/Coronary Plaque Analysis (AI-CPA)
L39851
AI-QCT/AI-CPA using CCTA is covered for diagnostic evaluation of adults with acute or stable chest pain and no known CAD who are eligible for CCTA, when CCTA shows intermediate risk or CAD-RADS 1–3 and cardiac evaluation is negative or inconclusive for ACS. The AI analysis must be performed after a completed/interpreted CCTA using FDA-cleared software and by appropriately credentialed providers; it is not covered for screening, surveillance, after MI within 30 days, with contraindications to CCTA, with normal CCTA (CAD-RADS 0), or in presence of high-grade stenosis (CAD-RADS 4–5) or unstable symptoms.
"Patient with acute or stable chest pain and no known coronary artery disease (no prior anatomic testing showing plaque or obstructive CAD) who is eligible for CCTA."
