Dynamic Posturography
MED205.026
This policy addresses computerized dynamic posturography, a force‑platform assessment used to quantify postural control, sensory-organization, and center-of-mass sway in patients with dizziness or balance dysfunction (including research use in conditions such as Parkinson disease). However, the procedure is considered experimental/investigational and generally not covered; it is not validated to diagnose specific balance disorders or localize lesions, lacks evidence of improved patient outcomes, and coverage is subject to the member’s benefit plan and only when testing is expected to directly change clinical management.
