Effective January 1, 2022, NCD242 was retired and CMS determined that no national coverage determination is appropriate for enteral or parenteral nutritional therapy. Coverage, limitations, documentation, and frequency criteria for these services are determined by Medicare Administrative Contractors under SSA 1862(a)(1)(A).
