Policy Summary
Manipulation of the rib cage is covered only when it is part of a broader therapeutic regimen for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, emphysema, or asthma. Manipulation of the occipitocervical or temporomandibular regions of the head is covered when specifically indicated for conditions affecting those parts of the head or neck.
