Medicare covers the Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease only when a specific program/site meets statutory and regulatory ICR requirements and is listed on the CMS Medicare-approved ICR programs list. Coverage applies to claims dated on or after August 12, 2010; any program not on the CMS approved list is non-covered.

"Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease is covered when the program meets Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (ICR) requirements under §1861(eee)(4)(A) of the Social Security Act and 42 C."
