Hyperthermia for Treatment of Cancer

Medicare covers local hyperthermia only when it is used in conjunction with radiation therapy for primary or metastatic cutaneous or subcutaneous superficial malignancies. Hyperthermia used alone or used in connection with chemotherapy is not covered under this policy.
