Last updated: March 15, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Verity (the "Service"), operated by Backwork AI ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Verity is a platform for searching and browsing Medicare and commercial payer coverage policies, including Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs), National Coverage Determinations (NCDs), Articles, and commercial payer policies. The Service provides tools for looking up code coverage, checking prior authorization requirements, and tracking policy changes.
Account Registration
Certain features of the Service require an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent or unauthorized purposes.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond what is permitted by our API or robots.txt
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content
Medical Data Disclaimer
The Service is an informational tool only. Coverage policy data provided through Verity is sourced from publicly available government and commercial payer sources and is provided "as is."
Verity does not provide medical advice, clinical guidance, or coverage guarantees. Coverage determinations are made by payers on a case-by-case basis. Always verify coverage information directly with the relevant payer before making clinical or billing decisions.
While we strive to keep policy data current and accurate, there may be delays between when a policy is updated at the source and when it is reflected in Verity. We are not responsible for any discrepancies between our data and the official source.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the property of Backwork AI and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.
Coverage policy content sourced from CMS.gov and other government sources is in the public domain. Commercial payer policy content may be subject to the intellectual property rights of the respective payers.

You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backwork AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitation of liability and intellectual property) will remain in effect.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
