Billing and Coding: MolDX: Genetic Testing in Heritable Thoracic Aortic Disease

This billing and coding guidance complements MolDX LCD L39938 for genetic testing in heritable thoracic aortic disease and requires use of CPT 81410, 81411, or 81479. Only one test may be billed per patient with exactly 1 unit of service reported, and the appropriate DEX Z-Code must be entered adjacent to the CPT code in the specified Part A/Part B claim fields along with the appropriate ICD-10-CM code; do not add extra characters to the DEX Z-Code on SV101-7.
